Visibility lengths vary as required. Guard rodsare recommended to protect the glass from damage, and for addedsafety.BRASS GAGE VALVESSeries VA AutomaticModel No. VA-991 5/8" Dia. Glass, 3/4" NPT Vessel Conn.These tubular glass gage valves feature brass body construction.They come complete with corrosive-resistant ballchecks for auto-matic closure in the event of glass breakage. This ensures safetyand prevents the loss of fluid. Maximum working pressure is 200psi @ 400°F, or 400 psi @ 100°F.NOTE: Pressure ratings will vary depending upon temperatureand glass length. Glass, 3/4" NPT Vessel Conn.These all brass valves are similar to above models. However,ballchecks are not standard, thus making operation non-auto-matic. A 1/4" needle drain valve in the lower unit accommodates abreakage condition. Either a 1/4" lower arm ball valve or a petcockis available upon request. Sizes, packing materials and workingpressures are identical to above models.BRONZE GAGE VALVESSeries VC Non-AutomaticModel No. VC-991 5/8" Dia. Glass, 1/2" NPT Vessel Conn.Model No. VC-902 3/4" Dia. Glass, 3/4" NPT Vessel Conn.Conforming to A.S.M.E. power-boiler code requirements, thesegage valves feature stainless steel ball checks in both upper andlower units.This provides automatic closure in the event of glassbreakage and requires the ball check in the lower valve to risevertically to its seat. A safety handle is also provided for manualoperation of the 5/16 inch diameter drain valve. This valve is of thefull-flow ball valve design.The valve body is constructed of rugged, heavy pattern bronze.Standard packing materials are wear-resistant Teflon©-asbestos. Maximum working pressure is rated at 500 psi @500°F, or 250 psi @ 400°F.Note: Pressure ratings will vary depending on temperature andglass length.
