ACF CoarsefilterV&T did develop a special filter for protection ofpumps, pipesystems and process equipmentagainst big particles. The filter has a specialconstruction and combines flowpatterns and turbulence for cleaning of a wedge wire filterelement. The filtration direction is frominside to outside. The cleaning is by the liquiditself and can be made manually or automatic.The cleaning cycle only takes 5 seconds. Whenthe solids are heavy or sticky, the separatingmechanism can be assisted by a scraper mechanism. Next to the back-wash ACF filter , V&T Group diddevelop a new serie with a mechanical cleaning system. A pneumatic cylinder moves a mechanicalscraper over a wedge wire filter element in an axialdirection. The difficult backwashable dirt as thereare : fibres , flakes of granulaat or organic waste ,will be shoved to the outlet and drained awaythrough the flushvalve.As flushvalve our recomendation goes to a pinch-valve or a membrane valve. As alternative a ballvalve can be chosen with full bore (opening).The flushing is regulated by a programmable timerand if necessary parallelly linked with a dP control .The cylinder can make several strokes in one chosen flushcycle. A flushcycle of 5 seconds isenough to clean the complete filterelement. The filter is constructed in SS316L and can becleaned with light acids against incrustation of calc ,salts or organic material.
