The VALVOSPAIN Group was created in 2006 by the union of LAZARO ITUARTE, FLUVAL and MTS.

The constituent companies have a long tradition and experience in the design, manufacture, assembly, testing and supply of high specification industrial valves.

LAZARO ITUARTE was founded in 1928 by Mr. Lázaro Ituarte, who coming from a Bilbao family related to the foundry and manufacture of valves since 1882, established himself in Amurrio, dedicating himself from the beginning to the manufacture of GATE valves, BALLOON and RETENTION, SCREWED CAP.

From a very early time LAZARO ITUARTE has shown a strong vocation for exports and quality. Already in 1967, LAZARO ITUARTE obtained the API 600 certificate from the American Petroleum Institute.

It also shows concern for the evolution of designs and technological innovation, and in 1982 LAZARO ITUARTE designed and supplied the first PRESSURE SEAL valves used in high pressure processes in refineries, and in high pressure and high temperature steam services in plants. of power generation.

In 1991 LAZARO ITUARTE designed and supplied the first CRYOGENIC valves for low temperature and cryogenic services, which would later become a complete range of Cryogenic valves for LNG.

In 1994 LAZARO ITUARTE obtained the ISO 9001 and API 6D certificates, and later they were also obtained by FLUVAL and MTS.

FLUVAL was founded in 1969, and was dedicated to the markets of England and the Middle East. After supplying a wide range of valves for Oil and Gas, in recent years it has focused on the design and manufacture of BOLA valves, in all its variants including metal seat designs, and weld coatings for sour services, where it is has become an international benchmark.

MTS was founded in the mid-70s, and was dedicated to the markets of Spain and Latin-America. After supplying a wide range of valves for Oil and Gas, in recent years it has focused on the development of MACHO, BUTTERFLY, and CONTROL valves, and specific applications of industries such as THERMOSOLAR and Desalination, becoming a benchmark world.

In 2006 the 3 companies come together to create VALVOSPAIN. The creation of the group is a starting point, from which comes the period of greatest growth and the delivery of the largest projects.
