Between storm events, metabolic oxidation exceeds O2 supply in static water in underground treatment and storage structures, and the water rapidly becomes anoxic. This stagnant environment creates sulphide, ammonia, mobile phosphorus, and increased biological oxygen demand (BOD). Vault-Ox® is a specialized media that is placed inside your Hydrodynamic Separator, OGS, Ba e Box, or other stormwater treatment structure to enhance the performance of the system. This unique media provides an environment where beneficial microbes are able to dominate over harmful microbes and significantly improves the quality of water.
