From the sludge are separated during the machine-technological process:• solid components - the filter press cake-this can be transported by standard means of transport, • liquid phase - filtrate - with the possibility of its further processing. The performance and quality parameters of a press depend mainly on the physical features of the sludge, on the type of used flocculation medium, on the sieve and on the quality of the operating personnel. The expected dry matter output of the press cake is 20 - 35 % (municipal sludge). One of the main features of the VX - press is its construction made mainly from non-corrosive materials. This press can be delivered also in stainless steel version. Our press is equipped with quality safety com-ponents and remote control for the regulation of the filter belts speed - this is done with frequency converters. The adjustment and stretching of the filter belts in the press is enabled through pneumatic system. The sludge is processed in four main successive technological sectors of the press:I. Homogenizing Sector Mixing the sludge with flocculation medium solution, sludge flocculation, separation of one filtrate part. This process takes place in sludge piping, in the unit for preparation of flocculation media VX - FZ and partly in the inlet hopper of the belt press on the upper filter belt. II. Gravitation Sector Gravitation sludge draining after sludge inlet on the filter belt. The sludge is turned over from upper sieve to the clean bottom filter belt where the gravitation sector continues. In this sector drains the biggest amount of filtrate with lowest sludge content. III. Low-Pressure Sector (Spike Sector) The upper filter belt is gradually pressed on the sludge in this sector and this is followed by draining of further filtrate. IV. High - Pressure Sector The sludge closed between two filter belts is led through the pressure cylinders system, where the pressure is gradually increased and this is fol-lowed by successive draining of the filtrate. The compressed sludge is after passage through the press wiped away with plastic scrapers.HIGH-PRESSURE PRESSES VX - VT Another possibility how to increase the dry matter output is make use of a high-pressure press - type VT. These press types are reliable mainly in processing of sludge’s arising in paper-making industry and for other industrial sludge types. The expected dry matter output of the press cake from this press is 5 – 20 % higher depend-ing on the pressed sludge type.BELT PRESS VX – GORO Vanex Limited Company developed for sludge pressing in small water cleaning units (sewage dis-posal plants) of bigger villages or smaller towns the belt press VX - GORO. This belt press is intended for localities with connection of circa 1 000 – 5 000 EO.ADVANTAGES OF THE VX-GORO PRESS• Continuous operation during the pressing process,• considerably easier handling with the pressed sludge in comparison to so-called bagging systems,• cleaner operation,• lower acquisition and operating costs,• essentially lower power consumption (0,5 kW) and eliminated pressure air consumption,• the complete press is made of stainless steel and of plastic materials - the corrosion is eliminated,• no need for additional water source for washing the filter belts - utilization of water draining from the filtrate after its cleaning in separate unit,• simple regulation,• minimum demands for operating staff and for maintenance.MOBILE LINES FOR SLUDGE DRAINING Mobile lines have all the line components built-in on truck chassis, eventually on a separate trailer. They can also be placed into a container.
