After it has been efficiently conditioned by the VA - Injector Mixer HPI (separately available), the sludge is evenly distributed onto the dewatering belt of the VA - FD through the new inlet box. The installed VA - Shifting Ploughs improve filtrate discharge by continuously creating free filter areas on the belt. This ensures superior thickening performance. At the end of the thickening zone, a ramp further enhances the thickness of the sludge before it is discharged through a funnel. Due to its significantly high thickening performance of 6 - 8% DS, its low polymer consumption and its excellent energy balance (0,1 kWh/m3), the Belt Thickener VA - FD is an economical and reliable partner in sludge thickening operations.
