This pole spacing is particularly suited for eccentric clamping of mass-produced parts or thin work-pieces like saw blades. The object can be centered using the locating hole in the center of the clamping surface. The standard pole spacings of 9 and 18 mm ensure even holding forces over the complete clamping range. The brass pole gap ensures optimal heat dissipation, in particular if thin workpieces are used. The center of the pole plate allows for the realization of centering aids, threaded holes and locating holes. The use of temporary pole plates with different workpiece specific inserts is particularly suited for this type of pole spacing.
