Additionally, our Baltimore, Maryland; Chicago, Illinois; Cincinnati, Ohio; and San Jose, California transportation, storage and disposal facilities offer unique treatment capabilities. Treatment of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Aqueous Waste – Clean Harbors’ facilities are permitted to treat a wide variety of hazardous and non-hazardous wastewaters including: • RCRA hazardous waste • Listed hazardous waste • CERCLA hazardous waste • TSCA, RCRA/TSCA & non-TSCA PCB waste • Non-RCRA regulated industrial waste • Non-hazardous waste Treatment of Inorganic Aqueous Waste – Our facilities utilize highly refined, multi-stage, chemical precipitation processes that remove heavy metals, suspended solids and residual organics from liquid wastes and render the effluents safe for discharge into municipal sewer systems. Inorganic wastewater treatment methods include • Chemical precipitation of metals • Acid/Base neutralization • Chemical oxidation/reduction Treatment of Organic Aqueous Waste – Our facilities utilize highly refined processes that remove heavy metals, suspended solids and organics from liquid wastes. Organic wastewater treatment methods include • Chemical oxidation • Supercritical fluid extraction • Biological treatment • Oil/Water separation Value-added Transportation of Drum and Bulk Waste by Truck and Rail – We will manage your waste for optimum efficiency and cost control. Drum and bulk waste is transported via an extensive company owned and operated fleet. Rail transportation is also available for managing large volumes of wastewater.
