Giving Back

We’re on a mission to build a better world. We partner with Code.org as we both work to narrow the digital divide. Workiva is dedicated to helping Code.org increase technology access and computer science education for students from underrepresented groups and expand these efforts globally. Together, we’re taking small steps toward big impact.

Volunteerism
Workiva employees receive sixteen hours of paid volunteer time off every year plus an additional eight hours for our annual global day of service to use in ways that are meaningful to them – whether it’s supporting Code.org’s Hour of Code program, cleaning up their local park, or volunteering at a community event.

Employee Giving
Employees are encouraged to make financial donations to their favorite causes. Through our Annual Employee Giving Campaign and ongoing giving opportunities, we make it easy for employees to give back. Their generosity is incredible, and a good reminder that we’re better together!

However, our employees are encouraged to volunteer and are supported to do so with 16 hours of paid time off to volunteer and a global day of service. Our Story

Workiva was founded as WebFilings in 2008 to change the way corporations were managing and reporting business data. We released our first cloud solution in 2010 at a time when most companies were hesitant to place their trust in the cloud.

Companies big and small trusted us because for the first time, they could collaborate with control and accountability. We changed our company name to Workiva in 2014 to keep pace with growing demand for our solutions from finance, compliance, risk, and audit teams.
