Call for Papers WQA Aquatech USA 2015 Convention & Exhibition Las Vegas, Nevada Project Summary: The Water Quality Association invites submittals of proposals for presentations for the Orlando, Florida conference on April 20 - 24, 2015. Suggested Topics include, but are not limited to: Technical Topics ? POU/POE water treatment technologies ? water chemistry ? water analysis and sampling ? contaminant chemistry and removal ? drinking water ? problem water ? microbiological contaminants ? waste discharge ? salt and/or brine issues ? commercial water treatment applications ? industrial water treatment applications ? high-purity water ? process water ? boiler water treatment ? cooling water treatment ? water-related regulatory issues ? sustainability ? “green” water treatment ? water conservation and reuse Business Topics ? small business operations o personnel management o advertising o strategic planning ? water industry-related consumer trends ? marketing in the water industry ? selling in the water industry ? business ethics Guidelines: At the 2015 WQA Aquatech USA show a portion of educational sessions will take place on the tradeshow floor. Five types of sessions are available: ? 25-, 50-, or 110-minute off-floor seminars ? 25-minute presentations on the show floor (preference given to exhibitors) ? 25- or 55-minute hands-on product maintenance demonstrations (exhibitors, only) ? 25-minute in-booth presentations (exhibitors, only; 10’ x 20’ booth required) Manufacturers with product on the market must be registered exhibitors to participate in presentations on the tradeshow floor. Content Criteria: While original works are strongly encouraged, topics modified from materials previously presented at other venues may be submitted. WQA prefers papers and/or presentations that can be included in their entirety in the conference proceedings. Presentation content must adhere to the guidelines in the WQA Code of Ethics, specifically, but not limited to: Product performance, benefits, or other claims, either written or verbal, shall be based on factual data obtained from tests conducted by technically competent personnel utilizing verifiable scientifically valid test procedures. This data must be available in writing at the time such claims are made. Please see the WQA Code of Ethics at www.wqa.org for additional guidelines. With the exception of in-booth and hands-on presentations, all educational presentations must avoid reference to specific manufacturers and brands. To Enter: Proposals for presentations must include title, abstract, presenter information, session type, and time required for presentation. All proposals should be submitted online at wqa-aquatech.com, Education>>Submit Proposal. Proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis and in the order they are received. Schedule space is limited. WQA reserves the right to reject any proposal that does not adhere to the content criteria listed above or does not fit with WQA’s educational goals for the 2014 event. Deadlines: WQA lists and promotes educational presentations through three main avenues; the show website at wqa-aquatech.com, a printed registration book mailed to prospective attendees, and a printed program guide distributed at the conference. Deadline for publication in the registration book is August 25, 2014. Proposals must be received and approved prior to this deadline. Deadline for publication in the on-site program guide is December 15, 2014. Near-final drafts of presentations must be received and approved prior to this deadline.
