The Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) is an activated sludge process designed to operate under non-steady state conditions. It is uniquely suited for treatment applications characterized by high organics content and low or intermittent flow conditions. To optimize the performance of the system, two or more batch reactors are used in a predetermined sequence of operations. AquaTex™ SBR performs equalization, biological treatment, and secondary clarification in a single tank using a timed control sequence. It can also be designed to allow flow water to be channeled for additional advanced treatment prior to recycling or beneficial reuse.
