5th Annual Marcellus & Utica Shale Water Management Initiative 2015
This year`s initiative has been re-engineered to deliver a brand new, multi-platform experience designed to not only provide cutting edge E&P case studies and best practices on driving down water management costs, but also delivering hands on, interactive and demonstration focused learning opportunities to all delegates.
With over 570 wells added every six months in the Marcellus and Utica shale and an average of 4 million gallons of water needed for each well, water is still an intensely precious commodity in the Appalachian Basin.

The water management industry for shale is currently worth $6.38bn in the U.S alone and, with the Marcellus and Utica shale accounting for 25% of all freshwater required for fracs, there is huge cost savings to be had in optmizing treatment technologies, re-use strategies and logistics. The main goals behind these strategies are lowering downtime on wells and formulating water programs that are not only more economic but decrease lengthy permitting and construction processes.
MARCELLUS AND UTICA FOCUSED INITIATIVE EXAMINING WATER MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS
This year`s initiative has been re-engineered to deliver a brand new, multi-platform experience designed to not only provide cutting edge E&P case studies and best practices on driving down water management costs, but also delivering hands on, interactive and demonstration focused learning opportunities to all delegates.
Brand new interactive features have been added this year to enable water professionals to:
