The data relating to accidents at work in Italy are encouraging: there has been in fact, in the last ten years, a decrease of the total accidents by about 26%, and in particular those mortal over 37% *.

The situation is different with regard to occupational diseases: the new legislation introduced in the field over the past years and the intensification of prevention activities highlighted the need to pay greater attention to the fundamental causes of risk.

The positive trend on accidents along with the need for a thorough reflection on the prevention of occupational diseases confirm the usefulness of Ambiente Lavoro, a unique initiative in our country that deals in depth, with sensitivity and attention, all the issues related to health and safety on workplaces.
