Americana — the leading multi-sector event in North America — is a prime meeting place for environmental professionals to discuss technical, scientific and business topics regarding key issues in the environmental sector. Americana is a biennial event organized since 1995 by Réseau Environnement, the largest network of environmental experts in the province of Quebec.

Join us for more than 200 environmental-related presentations and activities covering current topics such as the circular economy, sustainable cities, innovation, and energy transition. The program also focuses on key environmental sectors, such as water, waste management, soil and groundwater, air and climate change, and biodiversity.

Presentations are given by environmental experts—researchers, technicians, managers, project leaders, etc.—from Quebec, Canada, Europe, Africa and South America.

Featuring 350 stands, our 8,000 m2 exhibit hall will welcome nearly 1,000 exhibitors. Geared towards innovation, new technologies and environmental management, these exhibitors represent environmental services companies, manufacturers and distributors of equipment and instrumentation, consulting engineering firms, consulting firms, research institutes, laboratories, training centres, non-profit organizations, associations, etc.

These organizations operate in a wide variety of sectors, including water, waste management, soil and groundwater, air and climate change, and biodiversity.

For three days, come and meet the most important actors in the environmental sector from over forty different countries:

A biennial event, Americana has been organized by Réseau Environnement ever since its beginnings in 1995. The largest network of environmental experts in the province of Quebec, Réseau Environnement is a reference of undisputed excellence, which acts as a catalyst for solutions towards a sustainable society.

Réseau Environnement represents over 2000 environmental professionals working in the private, public, municipal and para-public sectors. For over 50 years, this non-profit organization has been committed to promoting environmental best practices and innovation. To achieve this, the association organizes many events destined to sharing new knowledge in the environmental industry. It also offers municipalities support and excellence programs pertaining to climate change, water and waste management. Réseau Environnement also developed the innovative Traces Québec, the only waste tracking tool in Quebec, which ensures the responsible management of contaminated soils, among other uses.

Drawing on the expertise of its members, Réseau Environnement also takes positions on many issues related to its areas of activity, which include water, air and waste management, climate change, soil and groundwater, and biodiversity.

In keeping with the sustainable development values promoted by Réseau Environnement, Americana takes many actions to ensure the environmental responsibility of its events, including the following:

  • Participating in the greenhouse gas offset program of the Bourse du carbone Scol’ERE;
  • Using reusable dishes;
  • Composting leftovers;
  • Donating uneaten food;
  • Making carpooling options available to participants;
  • Paperless event (the program is not printed out).
