In future the BWA will play the role of partner at the show, and will also be responsible for organising the congress and choice of conference subjects. The conference topic at WATER SOFIA 2008, which takes place from 27 to 30 May 2008, is “The Problems of Water Management “ and will cover the entire range of important issues that concern this region. Valeri Nikolov, President of the Bulgarian Water Association: “The Bulgarian Water Association is proud to be the future official partner of this ambitious trade show. We will be bringing our knowledge of the market and expertise to the event, and will continue to expand this outstanding platform for the benefit of all those involved in developing the water treatment and sewage infrastructure.“
The BWA was founded as a non-profit making organisation in Sofia on 1 December 2005 and is the successor organisation to the Bulgarian Water Supply and Sewerage Association (BAWK). The BWA was the result of a merger between BAWK and BNAWQ (Bulgarian National Association on Water Quality). It currently consists of 74 members representing science, technology and Bulgaria’s water industry. Every two years it holds the BulAqua trade conference and a supporting exhibition, in parallel with its annual general meeting. This event has established itself as an important fixture for the Bulgarian water industry, and among foreign experts it is both recognised and well known. As a result of this new partnership it will now be a part of WATER SOFIA.
WATER SOFIA 2008 will take place from 27 to 30 May.
