Diehl Metering has renewed its GPI certification following an AFNOR Certification audit, reinforcing the prevention of industrial plastic pellet losses across its sites.

GPI audit and AFNOR certification renewal at Saint-Louis and Rixheim

As part of the certification renewal, AFNOR Certification conducted an audit in November 2025 at the Saint-Louis and Rixheim sites to verify facilities, procedures, and the environmental management system implemented by Diehl Metering. The review confirmed the strength of the organization and maturity of practices in accidental loss management, pellet containment, and reduction of environmental impact. Following the audit report and certification committee decision, the GPI certificate was renewed. The audit also identified three continuous improvement recommendations addressing prevention of releases, traceability of accidental losses, and public information.

Strengthened French and European regulatory compliance

The mandatory GPI certification under French Decree No. 2021-461 of April 16, 2021 establishes a regulatory foundation to prevent microplastic pollution resulting from industrial pellet losses. Since November 2025, Regulation (EU) 2025/2365 extends these obligations to all EU economic operators, marking a major step in minimizing microplastic dispersion and enhancing environmental responsibility across industry.

Diehl Metering’s long-term commitment to GPI management

The renewal demonstrates a proactive approach to preventing industrial plastic pellet losses and confirms compliance with French and European regulatory requirements, aligning with Diehl Metering's strategy for sustainable environmental impact reduction and corporate social responsibility across Europe.
