Hands on biodegradability training with the Philippines research team

In November we welcomed a team from a public research institution in the Philippines for a full week of biodegradability training in our laboratory in Lund. The visit follows their August purchase of ten BPC Blue units, which will support a national research programme focused on bio based polymers used in packaging, agriculture and other environmentally oriented applications.

The training week was led by João Vieira, PhD, Elton Melo, PhD, Nina Muratovska, PhD and Gangjing Liu, PhD who guided the group through the full operational workflow of BPC Blue. The sessions covered configuration of the instrument, calibration routines, reactor management for parallel testing, and data evaluation under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions. Each step was demonstrated with practical exercises that mirrored the test scenarios the team will run in their own facility.
