How does ultrasonic algae treatment work?
Our company has been resolving difficult water problems for over 20 years, throughout Canada, USA, and international markets. During that time, we have successfully removed algae from lakes, dugouts, swimming lagoons/pools, municipal water and numerous other applications.
Currently, algae is the largest concern for many operations especially during warmer seasons or in hotter climates. The largest concerns about algae are blue-green (cyanobacterial bacteria) and green algae (filamentous bacteria); the most hazardous.
Exposure to high levels of blue-green algae and their toxins can cause serious health issues with humans, especially those with chronic or pre-existing conditions. Symptoms include: diarrhea, nausea or vomiting; skin, eye or throat irritation; and allergic reactions or breathing difficulties. It can also do permanent damage to your kidneys and liver.
Pet and livestock illness and deaths can happen if animals consume large amounts of water containing blooms, scums or benthic mats. Bacteria, diatoms, biofilm, odour, toxins and macrocystis are all concerns in many types of water bodies.
Our customers, in a wide variety of industries and applications, have had great success with our Ultrasonic Algae treatment.
How does ultrasonic algae treatment work?
For fishing, an ultrasonic depth sounder can help you detect fish. We use a similar basic technology, with more sophisticated engineering.
Algae rise to the top of water bodies to be exposed to the sun to create photosynthesis during the day. But the specially designed sound waves of our ultrasonic system prevent the algae to photosynthesize. The floating algae will then die and float to the bottom rendering it harmless.
The dead algae at the bottom can be cleaned manually, by vacuuming a lagoon or pool. It can also be consumed by the bacteria present at the bottom of the water body. Aeration can also create an aerobic environment that will consume the algae.
Simply put, the algae blooms cannot photosynthesize and remain alive or active on top of the water body due to our ultrasonic signals. And they cannot survive at the bottom where it is dark because they cannot photosynthesize. There is no better way to kill algae than using an effective ultrasonic algae treatment.
Ultrasonic Treatment Benefits:
- Completely safe for all aquatic life, plants, humans, and animals.
- Reduces over 90% of algae.
- Reduces 95% of diatoms found present in the water.
- Reduces chemical use by up to 70% depending on your water quality and bathers.
- Low cost of operation, about the same as a lightbulb.
- Less maintenance and simple to clean.
Ultrasonic Algae Coverage: treat up to 120 acres. 70,650 m2

hat systems do we offer?
You can use an electric plug-in or solar panel model to run our ultrasonic algae system.
Each system is custom designed by our engineers for each particular application, using the GPS coordinates of your location.
If you have the power, we need to know the location, type of power and plug your country/ location requires.
If you do not have access to electrical power we can set you up with a solar system, either land based or floating on the water.
If it is a tank or water purification for a municipality situation, we need all the dimensions & capacity of the tank. A schematic of your operation would also be very helpful. In order to recommend our best solution, we need to know what issues and challenges you are facing, ie: your water source - reservoir, lake etc.
Municipalities are having major issues with algae, bacteria, diatoms, and biofilm affecting membranes, filters, UV systems and other purification equipment. We can help with all of this, and the cost is surprisingly low.
In many areas, there are recreational lakes which cannot be used in the hot summer months, due to algae infestation. There is a lot of concern from vacationers, residents, swimmers, etc. wanting to have access. We can restore places like this for safe, enjoyable use, by coordinating with local and regional governments, once we get the proper contact information.
Some different potential uses:
Recreation: Lakes, lagoons, pools, water treatment for cottages and vacation homes or anywhere algae is an issue.
Drinking water reservoirs: We are treating water for reservoirs, which some draw from a body of water like a lake. The lake and reservoir water might be full of algae. The algae are a big concern for health reasons, as noted above and for equipment fouling too soon because of algae buildup, diatoms, biofilm, and bacteria.
We have a large list of customers that use algae control to help them operate optimally and with less concern. Some of these are listed below.
Cooling towers, ponds at golf courses or any pond, water treatment plants, wastewater, irrigation dugouts/ponds, power generation plants, industry, mining, etc. The list continues and grows every day.
We work all over the world and have references available to contact. We have much more information on ultrasonic algae treatment to share with you, so please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or for additional information.
In order to provide the best information for your particular needs, please provide the following:
- GPS coordinates of the lake, reservoir or lagoon etc. or the measurements of your location.
- Your contact information including your name, position, email, address and phone number.
- Your power specifications including the location of the plugin, the plug type and your country location.
We will let you know if we need any additional information. For internet security reasons, please do not send any attachments with your email. We recommend that you use Google Drive, Drop Box, iCIoud Mail Drop, or a similar file sharing method, outside of your email service.
