Is tyre pyrolysis the same as plastic pyrolysis?

1. **Process Overview**: Both tyre and plastic pyrolysis involve the thermal decomposition of materials in the absence of oxygen to produce useful products such as fuel oil, carbon black, and syngas.

2. **Materials Used**:
- **Tyre Pyrolysis**: Specifically focuses on used tires or rubber materials. Tyres consist of complex rubber compounds and often include steel wires.
- **Plastic Pyrolysis**: Targets various types of plastic waste, which can be categorized into different polymers such as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), etc.

3. **Challenges and Considerations**:
- **Feedstock Variability**: Plastics can vary significantly in composition and additives, affecting pyrolysis outcomes such as oil yield and quality. Tyres also vary due to their rubber composition and steel reinforcements.
- **Product Yield and Quality**: The quality and quantity of the end products (like fuel oil) can differ based on the feedstock used. For tire pyrolysis, we can obtain tire pyrolysis oil, carbon black, steel wire and combustible gas; for plastic pyrolysis, we can obtain plastic pyrolysis oil, carbon black and combustible gas;

For instance, tyre pyrolysis machine perhaps will equip the waste tire pretreatment system, such as removing steel wire from waste tyres or cut tyres to small particles; while for plastic pyrolysis machine, because glue and wax may form during the plastic pyrolysis process, a glue removal device is required;
