The successful alliance between Polimaster and Lab Impex Systems continues with the introduction of the PM1704/GN/M to the Lab Impex Systems product portfolio. The new PM1704 belongs to a family of spectroscopic personal radiation detectors which use advance search algorithms for detection and identification of radioactive sources.

PM1704/GN/M range is capable of differentiating between naturally occurring radiation materials, medical isotopes and industrial sources of radiation. The basic model, PM1704, uses a CsI(Tl) scintillation detector which facilitates detection of radiation sources through accumulation and processing of gamma spectra. The PM1704M incorporates a second Geiger-Muller detector allowing measurement of dose rates up to 10Sv/h (1000R/h) and the final model, PM1704GN, includes a Li6I(Eu) scintillation detector for detection of neutron radiation sources.

Quote from Rikki Glover, UK Area Sales Manager, Lab Impex Systems: - “This exciting new product offers the user a totally integrated search, detection and analysis system which is simple enough for use by non-trained personnel. Offering a clear advantage against the PM1703 + IPAQ combination, we believe the system will be received well in the UK market”
