LiDAR atmospheric monitoring

Zhangjiakou Chongli Yunding Snowfield was selected as one of the competition areas of 2022 Winter Olympic Games. In order to protect the Winter Olympics from weather interference, the China Meteorological Administration began to build the Winter Olympics meteorological support network at the end of 2018. MOVELASER was designated as one of the radar construction suppliers for the meteorological support project of the Winter Olympics in 2022. The project uses multiple wind profile radars and Doppler lidars to form a real-time atmospheric monitoring network covering the whole winter Olympic snowfield to ensure the smooth progress of the Winter Olympic Games.

MOVELASER actively responded to the requirements of the China Meteorological Administration and completed the delivery of the lidar in March 2019. The lidar provided to the China Meteorological Administration was developed on the basis of the Molas B300, increasing the detection range and extending the distance to more than 1000 meters.
