Fast growing Cedrec has appointed a new team to drive sales of its specialised safety and environmental legislation services.

New business executives Harry Murray and Courtney Marsden are the latest to join the Sunderland-based firm, which is looking to sustain demand for the advice it provides to help private and public sector organisations understand, interpret and comply with complex legislation.

Cedrec offers a range of consultancy and subscriptions services which companies such as Virgin Trains, Nissan and Heerema Hartlepool use to improve the quality of their safety and environmental systems.

Harry brings a background in sales and customer service to the position, working at various call centres in the North East, whilst Courtney joins Cedrec as a fresh graduate from the University of Sunderland. Both will be involved in sourcing new sales using both inbound and outbound activity.

Julia Bradley, business development manager, who oversees the Cedrec sales team, said, “It’s the diversity of the two that excites me – they work well together, combining Harry’s practical experience and Courtney’s academic approach. They share knowledge, ideas, and give each other encouragement, it’s been fantastic right from the start.”

Currently employing 16 people, Cedrec, formed in 1994 in Sunderland by directors Steven Armstrong and Gareth Billinghurst, plans to boost current turnover of approximately £500,000 by a further £1 million in the next three years.

Julia is confident that the newest additions can continue to drive Cedrec forward, adding: “Harry and Courtney will be a huge asset to what is fast becoming a bright and forward-thinking business, and both have a positive future, playing a pivotal part in the long-term success of Cedrec.”
