Sigma-Aldrich Extends Laboratory Chemicals Contract with Honeywell

Sigma-Aldrich® Corporation (NASDAQ: SIAL) announced today it has signed a five-year contract extension with Honeywell for the manufacture and supply of Riedel-de Haën® high purity solvents, Karl Fischer reagents and other laboratory chemicals produced at Honeywell's Seelze, Germany, manufacturing site. The contract extends an existing supply agreement, in place since 1999, through March 31, 2019.

"Securing the supply of analytical products from Honeywell will help support and extend our product line and enables Sigma-Aldrich to continue offering a comprehensive breadth of reagents and standards to customers around the globe," said Russel Gant, Sigma-Aldrich Vice President, Analytical.

Honeywell products are key additions to the Sigma-Aldrich analytical portfolio and are recognized for reliable performance in analytical laboratories. The products include:

HYDRANAL®, a leading product for Karl Fischer titration for more than 30 years;

PESTANAL®, the industry's broadest pesticide standards offering;

CHROMASOLV®, high purity solvents for chromatography;

VETRANAL, standards for ingredients in veterinary pharmaceuticals, and

AQUANAL, chemicals used in the analysis of water.

As part of the agreement, Honeywell will continue to supply a range of services to Sigma-Aldrich in Seelze, Germany, including advanced laboratory and warehouse services and Sigma-Aldrich will continue to provide shipping, forwarding and small package filling at the Honeywell facility.
