STRAHL HD Well Downhole Camera Receives a Control Unit Upgrade
Fiberscope.net has upgraded the STRAHL HD Downhole Well Camera with a new control unit that improves usability and image clarity in the inspection field.
The upgraded unit now includes a 13” HD IPS LCD screen, replacing the previous 8” display. This larger screen offers clearer, sharper visuals during inspections.
A built-in keyboard is now integrated directly into the unit—previously it was a separate wireless accessory. This makes it easier for operators to take notes and add comments during inspections without handling extra gear. The control box is also splashproof, helping it stand up to tough environments.
Other features of the control unit remain the same, including:
- High-resolution image and video recording
- On-screen footage counter
- USB storage
- Built-in microphone for audio notes
The rest of the STRAHL HD system is unchanged. It still features a 45mm dual-view camera head with both forward and side-facing lenses. The side camera offers 360° continuous rotation, and both views are supported by powerful LED lighting for clear visuals in murky conditions.
The camera is made from stainless steel and sealed to IP68 waterproof standards, rated for depths up to 200 meters (656 ft). It runs on an 8mm flexible twisted pair cable, with your choice of manual or motorized reel, both featuring a footage counter and tension arm.
Compact, portable, and battery-powered, the STRAHL HD remains ideal for water well inspections, groundwater monitoring, and geological surveys.
