Who We Are
AcornVac®, member of Morris Group International®, designs, manufactures, installs, tests, and services top of the line vacuum plumbing systems for a wide variety of non-residential applications.

Our Roots
AcornVac has roots in Acorn/Evac, a joint venture between Acorn Engineering Company® and Envirovac, Inc. The joint venture was created in 1990 after Acorn Engineering Company, founding member of Morris Group International, modified its line of vandal-resistant plumbing fixtures to include stainless steel toilets and combination fixtures for use with vacuum plumbing systems in correctional facilities.

Acorn Engineering Company also modified their existing Master-Trol® control valve to work with vacuum plumbing systems. Master-Trol is an electronic valve management system that allows both control and monitoring of water supply through a dedicated server and software. The advantages of vacuum plumbing systems and the control offered by Master-Trol combine to offer a plumbing system that is superior, offering security and water savings over traditional gravity plumbing systems.

Timeline
In 1998, Acorn Engineering Company and Envirovac dissolved their joint partnership. Later on, Acorn Engineering Company re-launched vacuum plumbing fixtures and systems as a new division—AcornVac. The ribbon was cut in May 2000, when AcornVac officially launched at the FMI Show in downtown Chicago. At this time, AcornVac designed, manufactured, and supported vacuum plumbing systems not only for correctional facilities, but also for supermarkets.

Over the years, AcornVac has further extended its expertise with vacuum plumbing systems to cover a broad range of project types: office buildings, day care centers and educational institutions, research and medical laboratories, surgical centers, hospitals, commercial kitchens, even museums, among others. The company now specializes in providing vacuum plumbing systems and equipment for any land-based plumbing application, including sanitary, grease, condensate and specialty waste drainage system. Dedicated staff and commitment to quality has made it possible for AcornVac to expand its reach into these applications.
