2E MechaTronic - Model RS485 -360° Tilt Sensor with MODBUS Interface
The 360° tilt sensor by 2E Mechatronic is designed with a robust industrial-grade aluminum housing suitable for harsh environments. It features a RS485 interface utilizing the MODBUS RTU protocol, allowing for easy addressability and configuration. The sensor offers a high resolution of ±0.01° and operates within a voltage range of 9-32V DC. It is protected by an IP67-rated enclosure, guarding it against dust and water ingress. The sensor's measurement time is under 180ms, and it connects via an M8 circular connector. It delivers accurate readings across a wide temperature range, maintaining precision within ±0.1° at 10-40°C, and within ±0.15° from -40 to 85°C. The unit supports custom configurations, including node address, baud rate, and data averaging. Temperature measurement capabilities further complement its functionalities. Its compact dimensions facilitate convenient installation on various surfaces, enhancing its versatility for industrial applications.
The robust industrial version in an aluminum housing with RS485 output and Modbus protocol. Addressable and individually configurable.
- Resolution : ± 0.01°
- Measuring axes : 1
- Operating voltage : 9-32V
- Protection class : IP67 (aluminum housing)
- Measurement rate : < 180ms
- Dimensions : 79 x 28 x 21 mm
- Connection : M8 circular connector
- Interface : Modbus RTU (RS485)
- Accuracy : +10 – +40°C: <±0.1°, -40 – +85°C: <±0.15°
The sensor offers the advantages of digital angle calculation directly after the raw data is acquired. This eliminates any falsification of the calculation due to external influences. The node address, baud rate, offset, and, for example, the number of measurements for averaging can be individually configured. Furthermore, reversing the measurement direction and setting the angle value from 0-359.99° or +179.99° to -180° are possible. The baud rate can also be adjusted. In addition to the inclination angle, the sensor can also display its temperature. The robust aluminum housing can be mounted on the side of or on the measuring surface and connected to the evaluation unit via an M8 sensor connector.
