PromoChrom - Model SPE-03 -8-Channel Solid Phase Extraction System for Diverse Sample Processing
The SPE-03 is an advanced automated solid phase extraction (SPE) system designed to handle up to 8 samples simultaneously, optimizing both efficiency and productivity. Suitable for various applications, including water, food, soil, fuel, protein, and forensic sample extraction and cleanup, the SPE-03 employs positive pressure to ensure precise fluid delivery and prevent cartridge blockages. Featuring a compact design for easy integration into any fume hood, this unit includes specialized functionalities such as bottle rinsing, dedicated waste outlets, and nitrogen drying. The system supports a range of analytical methods including EPA Methods 537/533/1633 and ISO 21675, making it ideal for PFAS analysis, among other contaminants like 1-4 Dioxane and pesticides. The SPE-03`s flexible sample loading options further enhance its adaptability for different volume and particulate samples, ensuring consistent and reliable performance across various testing scenarios.
The SPE-03 is a powerful and efficient automated solid phase extraction system capable of processing up to 8 samples at a time. It can be used for large and small volume water, food, soil, fuel, protein and forensics sample extraction and clean up. Like all our systems, it utilizes positive pressure to deliver fluids at fixed flow rates and prevent build up in your SPE cartridges. All samples start and finish at the same time.
Our flow path integration technique gives the SPE-03 a very small footprint and can easily fit in any fume hood. Special features include bottle rinsing, separate waste outlets and nitrogen drying.
This fully automated SPE system is the top choice for PFAS following EPA Methods 533/537/1633, DoD QSM 5.3 Table B-15, ISO 21675 and various proprietary methods. Other applications include 1-4 Dioxane, pesticides, PCBs, PAHs, mycotoxins and more.

Sample Container Compatibility
The SPE-03 includes tubing with needle heads to accommodate open containers up to 1L. The optional MOD-004 sample bottle rack can be used for bottles from 125mL to 1L.
Sample/Solvent Waste Outlets
Sample and solvent wastes exit through their respective tubing. This ensures that organic and aqueous wastes can be disposed of separately.
Nitrogen Drying
Nitrogen drying of sorbent material can be programmed into the methods. This step can be time-controlled or until the user wishes to resume. The flow meter can be adjusted up to 2.4L/min.
Solvent Mixing
Two solvents can be mixed at specified ratios for cartridge conditioning, washing or elution. This can also be used to achieve stepped gradient elution.
Sample Container Rinsing
The SPE-03 can rinse sample containers using 1 or 2 solvents and then add the rinsate back to the SPE columns to improve recovery. The optional MOD-004 sample bottle rack can enable rinsing of large sample bottles.
SPE Column Compatibility
The SPE-03 uses an innovative adapter to accomodate 1, 3, 6mL SPE columns. There is no need for extra adapters.
