With a maximum working pressure of 15bar (217psi), Elcometer Performance HP Abrasive Blast Machines provide a unique solution to large scale contracts which require long hose runs.

Ensuring that you always achieve the pressure you need at the nozzle, the range`s high pressured capability allows hose lengths greater than 500 metres to run from a single blast pot without compromising productivity.

When considering the key logistical challenges associated with maintaining large structures such as bridges, buildings and ships, this benefit has proven crucial to driving down operational costs.

What`s more, as every aspect has been designed and engineered by experts at our purpose-built production facilities, in Manchester, UK, the range offers industry-leading levels of durability and usability.

Take a look at our key features section to see how the range has been used in real world projects and find out more about its unmatched design.

Elcometer Engineered

Built to the same high standard as our 12bar (174psi) Performance range, each and every component within our high-pressured Blast Machines has been designed to industry-leading specifications.

From enhanced Airflow Remote Control Valves and Pipework, to our precision Abrasive Media Valves, great care has been taken to ensure improved levels of productivity when blasting.

Built to Last

When working at high pressure in harsh abrasive blasting environments, it is important that your Blast Pot can last the test of time.

Manufactured out of heavy duty 6mm (¼”) steel with double weld seams and with a tough marine specification multi-coat anti-corrosion paint, Elcometer Blast Machines exceed UKCA, CE & PED Standards to maximise their lifespan.

Transforming Approach to Large-scale Blasting Projects

Stretching 1.32km in length, Erskine Bridge is the world`s longest cable-stayed bridge of its type. In 2019, UK engineering firm, Spencer Group, were tasked with blasting the structure but faced a significant challenge: the need to keep the bridge fully operational to over 40,000 vehicles per day.

With blasting needing to take place over 600metres from the shoreline, and 40metres above ground, they required blast equipment which could be sited at ground level but maintain maximum productivity at the nozzle.

The use of Elcometer Performance HP Blast Machines enabled the organisation to achieve just that. Operating with two Blast Pots situated at either side of the bridge, they were able to run hose lengths greater than 500metres with the high-pressure input ensuring optimal efficiency at the nozzle.

Watch our dedicated case-study video for more information on how the project was completed and find out how Elcometer`s high-pressured Blast Machines contributed to significantly reduced costs.

A Key Rundown of Elcometer`s High Pressured Blast Pots

The ability to operate with 15bar (217psi) input pressure is not the only factor which separates our Performance HP range from the competition. The innovative design of the Blast Machines ensure they work harder, last longer and perform better when faced with a heavy workload.

1) Rating Plate: Clear information on pressure ratings, UKCA and CE approval to both PED 2014/68EU and PE(s)R 2016.

2) Easy Access: Large inspection access wide enough for both arms.

3) Fast Flow Cones: 45/90° cone to maximise abrasive flow rate.

4) Precision Media Valves: Enable finger tip adjustment allowing you to use less abrasive to cover the same area in less time.

5) Flexible Pusher Line: Hard wearing flexible pusher line to maximise air flow.

6) Moisture Separator: Prevents water and oil from entering the blast pot.

7) High flow 38mm (1½”)  Remote Control Valves: Minimises air flow loss and shuts the blast system down quickly and safely.

8) High flow 38mm (1½”) Pipework: 38mm (1½”) pipework throughout ensures efficient airflow and minimal pressure loss.

9) Easy to manoeuvre: Balanced design makes it easy to move on site.

10) High Flow Dish: Concave dish for easy refill and deflector plate for operator safety.
