Bioplast 300 is an advanced starch-based biopolymer compound for flexible application. This product is particularly suitable for Vertical Form Film Seals (VFFS). This grade is suitable for home composting in the countries where there are no industrial composting facilities and features a certified high thickness.

Bioplast 300 was designed for and is commonly used for a variety of food packaging in addition to a variety of other applications. Here are some of the blown film applications:

Sustainability and biodegradability

Bioplast 300 has a bio-based carbon share of 32% according to ISO 16620-2 or ASTM D6866. Products made of this material are completely biodegradable and recyclable. Depending on its thickness, this product is compostable according to EN13432 at both industrial composting facilities and under well-managed home composting conditions (NF T51-800).

Processing

Bioplast 300 was designed for use in blown film extrusion (LDPE or LLDPE). The material is printable. It can also be coloured with compostable masterbatches, is sealable (heat sealing, RF, ultra-sonic), and can be drawn down to 10 μm (with profile control, etc.)
