At Puroxi Pure Water Global Inc., We understand the importance of all factors of water purification. One of the biggest problems people have is Algae in their Pond, Lake, Dugout and even storage facilities. For that reason, we have taken aeration seriously. We have supplied our aeration and ultrasonic algae control systems as a combination for many years and in many locations. We feel that water treatment municipalities and cities will be interested in this technology because of reduced chemical costs. The product pays for itself in a short time.
For example, during the summer in Canada, from April to August, we know that Green Algae is evident and peaks at the end of June and July. The Blue Greens hover all year and peak in July, August and September. The diatoms are peaked in October and November and bloom in April, May. It allows you to know what you are up against when addressing algae. Understanding the timing and tracking all the problems, and solving them for each client and situation is ideal for a delighted customer.
Blue-Green Algae is one step ahead of other algae when it comes to light and nutrient absorption. The wall is permeable to gasses but not to water, making it possible to inflate and deflate. The division of the gas vesicle is about 2 nm thick.
In short, Blue-Green Algae are bacterium that contains gas vesicles. This makes them buoyant, so they can multiply and produce toxins that cause illness in humans and animals.
Green Algae are Eukaryotic cells, can be present in the water in single-celled, colony-forming or multicellular formations. They generally do not produce toxins, except for red algae and diatoms. However, it is a hindrance because of its greening of everything. They are also filamentous and macrophytic.
For the above reasons, we use a two-step program that works very well. As you know, there is no magic bullet in anything. You have to methodically and effectively address issues with thought and reality in mind. Our principal is to allow the algae to be killed by using ultrasonic technology and allowing it to be consumed by creating an aerobic environment. Stratification
A pond without aeration will become stratified into two very separate layers in the summer heat. This is because of the physical properties of water. As the sun warms the surface water, it becomes less dense and lighter than the cool water below it. The line at which these two layers separate (similar to oil floating on water) is called the thermocline.
No Oxygen = No Life
The vast majority of water-cleaning organisms (aerobic bacteria & phytoplankton) in a pond use Oxygen to drive their metabolic processes. Oxygen enters the water column almost exclusively through the surface of a non-aerated pond. Because the surface water does not mix with the water below, Oxygen in the bottom layer quickly becomes depleted under stratified conditions, allowing toxic gasses to build up. Because no oxygen is available below, the pond`s overall health will begin to suffer.
Nutrient Build-Up
Without water cleaning organisms on the bottom, any sediment, debris, and nutrients that enter the system fall to the bottom and accumulate. This layer on the bottom is what many refer to as "muck". Having an unwanted pile of muck as well as a toxic lower-layer in your pond will quickly cause significant headaches, including algae blooms, rampant weed growth, and fish kills.
