LifenGas - Model ASU -Air Separation Unit for Gas Production
An Air Separation Unit (ASU) is engineered to utilize air as a raw material, compressing and cooling it to cryogenic temperatures for the separation of oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and other gases through rectification. The ASU can cater to user requirements by producing either a singular gas such as nitrogen or multiple gases like oxygen, nitrogen, and argon. The output can be in both liquid and gaseous forms, provided for diverse industrial applications. Initially, air is processed via filtration, compression, and purification to eliminate moisture, carbon dioxide, and hydrocarbons. The processed air is divided: one portion undergoes heat exchange before entering fraction columns, while the other proceeds through the main heat exchanger and expansion units before reaching the separation columns. The ASU features high-efficiency equipment, including a condensing evaporator that enhances process safety by minimizing hydrocarbon accumulation. This setup complies with rigorous national standards, ensuring structural integrity and operational reliability.
- Advanced performance calculation software imported from abroad is used to optimize the process analysis of the equipment, ensuring superior technical and economic efficiency and excellent cost performance.
- The upper column of the ASU (main product O₂) uses a high-efficiency condensing evaporator, forcing liquid oxygen to evaporate from bottom to top in order to avoid hydrocarbon accumulation and ensure process safety.
- To ensure equipment safety and reliability, all pressure vessels, pipework, and pressure components in the ASU are designed, manufactured, and tested in strict accordance with relevant national regulations. Both the air separation cold box and the piping within the cold box are designed with structural strength calculation.
- The majority of our company's technical team engineers come from international and domestic gas companies, with extensive experience in cryogenic air separation system design.
- With extensive experience in ASU design and project implementation, we can provide nitrogen generators (300 Nm³/h - 60,000 Nm³/h), small air separation units (1,000 Nm³/h - 10,000 Nm³/h), and medium to large air separation units (10,000 Nm³/h - 60,000 Nm³/h).
