Genesol - Model 34 -Alkaline Chelant Cleaner
Genesol 34 is a blended chelating agent and non-ionic surfactant and has been developed as an alkaline general purpose cleaner for membrane systems. Genesol 34 will help to remove both organic and inorganic based deposits. Genesol 34 is classified as ‘readily biodegradable’ and is an excellent adjunct when used in combination with other Genesol membrane cleaners.

- Genesol 34 should be used as a 3% solution at the highest pH recommended by the membrane manufacturer and should be alternately soaked and recycled through the membrane system for at least 3-4 hours. Working with enhanced temperature is strongly recommended to improve the cleaning performance.
- Cleaning solutions using Genesol 34 have a tendency to foam. After cleaning, the membrane system should be thoroughly flushed out, until the pH values of the feed and the discharge sides of the membrane are the same.
- Genesol 34 can be diluted and is fully miscible with water in all proportions.

Genesol 34 is an aqueous solution containing iminodisuccinic acid and a non-ionic surfactant. It is compatible with carbon steel and commonly used materials of construction. A material safety data sheet is available on request.
