Alpha Moisture - Model AMT-Ex -Intrinsically Safe 4-20 mA Dewpoint Transmitter for Hazardous Applications
Model AMT-Ex Dewpoint Transmitter is a 3-wire 4-20 mA powered transmitter that continuously measures moisture in process gas or compressed air. The 4-20 mA linear output signal can be factory configured for any of the following moisture units:- °C or °F dewpoint, ppm(v), ppb(v), g/m3, and lb/MMSCF. Model AMT-Ex is certified Intrinsically safe to IECEx, and ATEX for use in hazardous areas and with potentially explosive atmospheres using the specified Signal Isolator in the safe area. At the heart of the AMT-Ex Dewpoint Transmitter is our ultra-high capacitance aluminium oxide sensor, which delivers unsurpassed sensitivity, speed of response, accuracy, repeatability, stability, and long service life. Every unit is supplied with a Calibration Certificate traceable to International Humidity Standards, guaranteeing accuracy to ± 2 ºC dew point.
The unique Automatic Calibration (AutoCal) feature is standard on all AMT-Ex Transmitter models and allows the user to conduct field calibrations and span checks to ensure optimum accuracy between laboratory calibrations. AutoCal is operated using two small buttons on the side of the body. The buttons are locked in everyday use to avoid tampering and can only be activated by following a specific routine.
The integral RISC microprocessor circuitry of the AMT-Ex Transmitter allows high resolution with advanced self-diagnostics. It also enables annual laboratory re-calibration of the moisture sensor, storing calibration data onboard the fully self-contained unit.
Model AMT-Ex is designed to withstand a maximum pressure of 35,000 kPa (350 bar) and extreme environmental conditions. The rugged stainless steel construction provides protection to IP66 / NEMA 4X, with the transmitter’s electrical connections made via a secure industrial connector.
The transmitter is extremely easy to install and operate, requiring little or no maintenance; the optional Sensor Holder/Sample Cell is highly recommended for optimum sampling and allows easy removal for annual laboratory calibration without interrupting the process.
Model AMT-Ex Dewpoint Transmitter can be supplied with a DS1200 or DS4000 Hygrometer or separately for integration into your control system. Due to the low resistance cable, the transmitter can be located more than 1,000 m from the control room. Alpha Moisture Systems also manufacture Standard and Custom Dewpoint Sampling Systems for non-hazardous and hazardous applications.
Model AMT-Ex Dewpoint Transmitter from Alpha Moisture Systems embodies over 30 years of dedication to moisture measurement excellence, delighting our customers in almost every country. For pricing and delivery do not hesitate to contact us today.
