A self-contained tabletop Alternating Field Demagnetizer with peak field 150mT (customizable) and minimum settable field 0.1mT. The instrument can be operated through an intuitive LCD user interface embedded in the control unit or from a connected PC. The interface apart from setting a peak field allows for control of the ramp step in uT. Moreover, information about the temperature of the coils and power stage, remaining operation time etc. is continuously displayed on the LCD, so that user has an insight into present state of the system.

The sample manipulation can be done either manually with a specially designed sample holder allowing for orthogonal orientation of three 1-inch core samples or two 23mm cubic samples or with a specially designed tumbler.
