Aluline - Oil (hydrocarbon) Separators
Aluline manufactures oil and hydrocarbon separators designed to retain oils, sand, and suspended solids from wastewater systems, minimizing environmental contamination. Constructed from stainless steel A1S1304 with an aluminum Durbar cover, they ensure pedestrian safety and are secured by stainless steel screw threads. These separators use a process where hydrocarbons coagulate and float to the surface as they mix with water, while sediment such as sand and mud settle at the bottom. The final compartment ensures only clean water exits to the sewage collectors. Aluline can customize separators to meet specific customer needs, offering maintenance services, technical advice, and a connection with water companies or environmental agencies.
The device is manufactured to contain hydrocarbons and serve as a separator in small workshops or garages.
It is used to wash floors in small mechanical workshops and to remove oil and small grains of waste for separators.
The separators are designed to retain the oil and sand in the chamber, allowing regular removal and ensuring that there is no contamination of the flora and sewage system.
Manufactured from A1S1304 stainless steel with a Durbar aluminium cover for pedestrian passage, the cover is fixed by stainless steel threaded screws. Heavier covers can be manufactured on request in galvanised steel.
The connections are 110mm to suit the PVC pipe. It is equipped for use when required with a 50mm ventilation outlet. The cover is hermetically sealed to prevent spillage.
How it works:
- Hydrocarbons enter the separator with water that coagulates and agglutinates, transporting the hydrocarbon globules by floating to the surface. Sand, grains and sludge settle at the bottom of the separator.
- Most of the suspended solids sink to the bottom of the separator as they absorb water and become heavier. A final compartment at the outlet allows only clean water to exit to the wastewater collectors.
As a manufacturer, Aluline can make hydrocarbon separators to meet all customer needs. Contact us so we can recommend the most suitable solution for your needs.
