AMT - Liquid / Liquid Separation for Industrial Membranes
From Membranes
Applied Membrane Technology (AMT) offers advanced composite membranes for Liquid/Liquid separations in both aqueous and organic fluid environments.
Details
Applications/Process
Permeation of solute(s) from a liquid across a membrane interface into an absorbent liquid may be accomplished by a number of membrane techniques:
- PERTRACTION: Removal of organic pollutants from waste water using non-dispersive extraction
- SOLVENT EXTRACTION: Use of immobilized porous interface for dispersion-free extraction
- SUPPORTED LIQUID MEMBRANE: Stabilized organic phase supported by microporous composite membrane interface (extracting metal ions or solutes)
- MEMBRANE DISTILLATION: Extraction of solutes into aqueous based solution (a porous vapor gap allows passage of volatile components)
Membrane Material/Construction
Proper selection of suitable membrane materials is determined by the process requirements and the solute/liquid composition involved in your application.
Technology
Advantages of AMT’s technology are enhanced chemical, thermal, and long-term stability due to coated composite membrane structures based upon robust materials.
