PizziAnalogue Tiltmeter

SHARE

Our clinometer allows measurement of the variation in tilt of a rigid body in two orthogonal directions. The instrument is fixed in-place and when connected to an automatic acquisition system allows long-term observation as scheduled. The instrument is available in mono and biaxial version; in an IP66 housing for positioning horizontally or on a vertical wall. Versions for outdoor use or for submersion at high pressure are available – IP68 up to 300m of water column.

The instrument, in its standard versions, is used for measuring the tilt variations of structures. Depending on the mode of installation, the instrument can be used for the detection of deformations or movements of both rigid and incoherent.”bodies,” Used especially in the railway field for the monitoring of tracks, it also finds application in structural monitoring during both constrution phases and subsequent management of the works. Also generally used for:

  • Support walls
  • Walls and Piles?
  • Bridges
  • Dams
  • Landslides
  • Embankments
  • Monuments
  • Structures of archaeological interest
  • Towers
  • Chimneys
  • Minarets

The clinometer is composed of two single-axis MEMS sensors (Micro-Electro-Mechanical-System). The sensitivity, reliability and robustness of the sensor make this instrument a great low cost aid for monitoring systems where monitoring of structural deformation is required, in addition to monitoring variations in inclination and tilt.

Installation is simple and immediate, fixed to the wall with 3 Fischer fixings and a simple initial check with an optical level

Adjustment and refinement plates are available for special applicationsUsually, systems with multiple sensors are produced, either separate from each other or interconnected with extension bars which allow the formation of chains for the monitoring of subsidence and structural deformation. The instrument chain allows the monitoring of an entire profile (as opposed to single points), thus providing a greater accuracy of measurement.

These sensors with 4-20mA exit, allow easy interfacing with our Data Logger CUM3000 and various other reading and acquisition systems currently available on the national and international market.
