Anode Furnace

An anode furnace, as well as converter, is a horizontal, brick-lined steel cylinder supported on rollers. In the manufacture of anode furnaces Kopar Oy co-operates with Hollming Works, also located in Parkano Finland.

The mouth element of the anode furnace is water-cooled to reduce the heat stress caused by molten copper.

Kopar personnel have been involved in over thirty converter and anode furnace deliveries to Cu-smelters around the world.
