Apexx - Fiberglass Tanks
Apexx utilizes the latest in chop and filament winding equipment available in the industry today, providing our customers with the best quality above and below grade fiberglass tanks. We are located in southern indiana, which gives a central location to serve our customers. Our fiberglass chemical tanks are corrosion resistant, and are available in double wall configurations, which reduces the risk of environmental contamination due to leaks or spills.
Our fiberglass oil field tanks are manufactured in various diameters, depths and styles. Standard tanks are available in diameters from 4 feet through 12 feet. We also offer a wide variety of tank capacities. We can custom design and manufacture fiberglass tanks for almost any size, shape or service requested. Apexx`s fiberglass tanks are an outstanding economical value when compared to steel tanks. Our fiberglass products weigh approximately 50% less than steel, which greatly reduces installation costs. Our fiberglass tanks have a longer service life than that of steel tanks, therefore minimizing replacement costs.
Apexx also manufactures quality gun barrel oil and water separators. Our fiberglass gun barrels are fabricated to your specific dimensions. We can provide them with almost any fittings and accessories.
We offer a variety of fittings and options on our fiberglass oil field tanks. Some of these include various frp flanges, manways, sight glasses, threaded couplers, leak detectors, insulation, ladders and more.
Tank configurations include:
- Vertical and horizontal with flat, cone, dished or sloped bottom.
- Capacities range up to 40,000 gallons with diameters ranging from 4 ft to 12 ft, and lengths up to 50+ ft.
- Vertical and horizontal with tops in single or double wall with secondary containment and monitoring.
- The tanks are highly resistant to a variety of chemicals, corrosive environments and utilize UV inhibitors in the gel coat to block the damage caused by ultraviolet light.
We offer a variety of resin systems to suit the client’s specific type of application including:
- Polyester & Isophthalic
- Vinyl Ester
- Variety of Operating temperatures depending on resin
The inner surface of our tanks come with either:
- Nexus any other synthetic veil, or resin rich glass
Standards:Tanks and vessels are manufactured to national standards including:
- ASTM D3299
- ASTM D4097
- API 12P
Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Tanks are advantages over metal tanks when the limits for chemical resistance, excessive maintenance, or economic reasons. They are lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and above all, maintenance free.
