Root blowers are typically used in applications where a large volume of air must be moved across a relatively small pressure differential. And a key component of pneumatic conveying systems, particularly in diluted/lean phase conveying, is the roots blower. Air pumps, also known as blowers - roots type blowers - air pumps - air bellows; are frequently used in industrial facilities to produce air at medium pressures and flow rates. Roots Type Blower Working Principle

Roots type positive displacement pumps;It works according to the principle of compressing the fluid between the blades by rotating two rotors in the cast body in opposite directions. The air taken from the suction side of the pump can be compressed by the movement of the rotors and discharged from the outlet section of the body. In this way, air is produced in the quality (pressure - vacuum and flow) required by the business or process.

Roots type air blowers are driven by electric, hydraulic, diesel and gasoline engines or by the tractor tail shaft. The motion transfer between the engine and the pump is generally done by a belt-pulley mechanism.

Air Quality in Roots Type Blowers

In positive displacement lobe pumps, the fluid is passed through a dry and oil-free environment to obtain the desired air quality. This ensures that the fluid is clean in terms of air quality and allows it to be used in food, pharmaceutical, chemical and similar facilities.
