Ariel - Model JGM / JGP -Small Line Reciprocating Compressors
The Ariel JGM and JGP are known for their cost-effectiveness and are well suited for gas gathering, gas lift, and CNG applications. This class of reciprocating compressors readily couples with a broad range of high-speed engines. Built to handle up to 170 BHP, The JGM and JGP assume a wide range of field gas suction and discharge conditions in a small footprint. Using up to 4 stages of compression across an extensive cylinder library, the JGM and JGP are versatile choices in their horsepower range.
Rugged Crossheads
Ariel crossheads are one-piece, long-life, equipped with hardened, ground steel crosshead pins and direct, full-pressure lubrication at the top and bottom for minimum wear.
Versatile Unloading Devices
Ariel offers manual, head-end variable volume clearance pockets (VVPC) on most cylinders. Pneumatic suction valve unloaders are available on a limited basis.
High-Efficiency Oil Filters
Ariel JGM/JGP compressors feature high-efficiency, non-bypassing spin-on oil filters rated at 5-micron nominal and 17-micron absolute.
- Gray Iron Crankcase: Forged steel crankshaft, gray iron crosshead guide, tri-metal main bearing
- Gray Iron Crosshead: Alloy steel crosshead pin
- Ductile Connecting Rod: Bronze crosshead pin bushing, tri-metal connecting rod bearing, grade 8 stress bolts
Ariel produces versatile cylinders that can be utilized over wide pressure ranges without compromise by using valves that effectively balance reliability and performance. For each compressor frame size, Ariel`s lineup of cylinders can fully utilize that frame`s horsepower and rod load capabilities. Cylinders can be combined in hundreds of different configurations to deliver the precise volume and pressure of gas required.
Ariel 7 Performance Software is used by Ariel engineers and industry experts to model and design compressor configurations for their specific application. All of our cylinder designs, past and present, can be accessed to duplicate your existing compressor operations or design a new build.
