Royal Eijkelkamp Edelman - Auger for Coarse Sand
Edelman auger Coarse sand type, specially designed for use in non-cohesive soils. The extended, winged blades are specially designed to keep this type of soil sample in. Available as one-piece auger or bottom part with various diameters and connections.

The specific character of coarse sand and extremely dry sand soils is that there is little or no cohesion at all. Therefore the blades of this auger are extended with added “wings”, forming an almost closed auger body to keep the sample from slipping out. This makes this auger shape very suitable for loose soils, such as coarse sand or very dry sandy soils.
Augers should be left to air-dry after use and decontaminated with soaps. Rust will naturally appear on these augers, read the brochure for more information.
