Creel - Axial Flow Propeller Pump
The Axial pump can be designed and built to your specifications, from 6” to 60” and from 500 to 60,000 GPM. We provide continued services, including repair and upgrading, for both our machines and any other brand of axial flow pump.
The pumping element of an axial flow propeller pump consists of a revolving propeller in a stationary bowl containing vanes above and below the propeller. Water enters the pump through the tapered or flared intake bell where the bottom bearing housing and four guide vanes are located. From the bell, water passes through a five or seven-vane straightener or diffuser housing and then into the tapered cone through the pump barrel. Then out the discharge elbow. The guide vanes below and straightener vanes above the propeller prevent water from swirling or spiraling inside the pump and bowl. The even flow of water along the pump
axis holds water friction to a minimum. The results are the most efficient means invented for moving large volumes of water at low pressures
