BAE Systems is producing large-area (432 × 432) staring and (786 × 6) scanning photovoltaic HgCdTe short and medium wavelength infrared scanning chip assemblies for the U.S. Air Force`s next-generation, space-based early warning missile launch detection systems.The company’s radiation-hardened process also provides a high-density design for higher resolutions that will support satellites scheduled to be launched in the next 15 years.
