Bascule Bridge Counterweights

Drawbridges or Bascule Bridges are fitted with counterweights to offset the weight of the road section and help the motors to easily open the Bridge. These counterweights are available in a few standard sizes but it is the overall weight requirement that is important to balance the bridge. These weights are made in a stackable block configuration and lifting handles are available to help move them into place.
