BCA Industries `Single 50` single pass shredder combines the material sizing capabilities of a granulator or hammer mill with the low speed self-feeding characteristics of a dual shaft shredder.

This machine is designed to be used as a primary or secondary reduction system (depending on size of material). Our Patented combination knife design produces accurately cut material without a screen in one pass. Shred-able material enters the unit much like a conventional dual shaft shredder and exits like a dual shaft machine, except the material is sized just like it went through a screen. No material rolling around a screen using unnecessary horsepower creating heat.

Chip size is much more consistent than conventional screening and recirculating technology.

Material that passes through a Single 50 unit has a cubical look like it was cut on a sheer or punched. This type of cutting almost eliminates the fines conventional machines make. Tests on rubber tire side walls and EDPM rubber showed 92% correctly sized material, 6% fines and less than 2% overs in one pass! Green wood tested at 84% correct, 6% fines and 10% overs, with no shards. Perfect for wood pellet manufacturing before drying. All this is done with a fraction of the horsepower. Sizing 2" nominal green wood down to 3/8" minus with a hammer mill requires around 30 horsepower per ton, per hour, and produces only 60% acceptable material with a lot of fines. Using BCA`s Single Pass technology we only need 9 horsepower to do the same job and produce over 80% good material first pass through! It`s not magic, it`s our new patented design which can only be found hear at BCA Industries.
