- The bar rack with vertical, parallel bars is slid into slots in the civil engineering structure.
- The water flows through and the larger debris are retained on the upstream surface.
- It is cleaned manually when the flow of water is stopped and the bar rack is lifted up.
- It is designed for applications with a small quantity of debris.
- Very simple and robust
- Fail-safe
- Low head-loss
- Protects against diver ingress
- Prevents large debris from entering the water channel
- Very robust (1.5 m design head-loss).
- Bar spacing from 40 to 200 mm (1.5 to 8”)
- Widths: up to 6 m
- Heights: any height is possible with superimposed elements
- Lift chain
- Lift beam (for layouts using superimposed elements)
- For fresh-water applications:
- All painted carbon steel or AISI 304L
- For seawater applications:
- Painted carbon steel with anodes
- AISI 316L or duplex stainless steel
