BeirensMotor Silencers

SHARE

This type of silencer consists of a reactive + absorptive assembly in order to cover a wide range of frequencies. Depending on installation constraints, the different modules (resonator, absorbent wall, bulb...) can be dissociated. Moreover, to handle severe thermal and aeraulic constraints and thus achieve good mechanical durability for the absorbent materials, the latter are systematically protected by a layer of fibreglass and stainless steel perforated plating.

Helmholtz resonator

The Helmholtz resonator is used to capture sounds at a specific frequency (special cases). It is made up of an exhaust chamber connected to the main flue by a section referred to as the neck. The volume acts like a spring, activated by pressure fluctuations inside the exhaust or chimney, and dissipates the acoustic energy inside the flue.
