Benenv -Ā Dissolved Air Floation System (DAF)
Dissolved Air Flotation ( DAF System) is a water treatment process that clarifies wastewater (or other water, such as river or lake) by removing the susupended solids or oil & grease. It is widely used in the waste water treatment for solid-liquid separation, it can remove the suspended solids, oil & grease and colloidal substance effectively. Meanwhile, the COD, BOD can be reduced. It`s the main equipment for the waste water treatment.
Air Flotation Principleļ¼During the air floatation process, a large number of fine and uniform bubbles (5 ~ 8 microns) are formed to form a three-phase mixture of air bubbles, water, and flocs (oil). They contact and adhere together to take shape of air-containing flocs that float to the surface and are mechanically scrap by scum skimmer. Then water will be purified.
The theoretical basis of the air-dissolving process is Henry`s Law means that in air-floatation system, air dissolves in water under high pressure and approaches saturation, and is released under reduced pressure to normal pressure.
