SD1004 Bentonite Clay is a natural aqueous silicate with colloidal properties, processed by wet purification, with high montmorillonite content, good suspension stability and excellent colloidal properties. SD1004 Bentonite Clay meets the requirements for bentonite (Bentonite) in the European Pharmacopoeia EP 9.0, the US Pharmacopoeia USP40-NF35, the British Pharmacopoeia BP2017, and the Japanese Pharmacopoeia JP17.
It has rheological properties and can be used as suspending agent, thixotropic agent, binder and emulsion stabiliser in a variety of ointments. it swells in contact with water and exhibits plasticity. it has a wide pH range and can be used in acidic, neutral and alkaline media.
